Jacob Jensen & Timothy Jacob Jensen

Jacob Jensen established his studio in 1958 and over the following decades created the revolutionary, pure and now classic form language which made him one of the world’s most recognised designers, at the same time forever changing our perception of how Hi-Fi systems, telephones, watches and many other products can look.

Jacob Jensen’s son Timothy Jacob Jensen is successful in continuing the studio. Since he began his apprenticeship with his father in 1978, he has designed many of the most recognised products from the studio, including the first products under the trademark JACOB JENSEN™, namely the Classic 510/520 watches. They were accepted into the Museum of Modern Art and received the Watch of the Year award in 1986. The watches are still in production today.

Since the generation change in 1990, Timothy Jacob Jensen has established the trademark JACOB JENSEN™ and clarified the universal potential of the form language by transferring it to many new product groups. In addition to watches and telephones the JACOB JENSEN™ product portfolio includes eyewear, timers, weather stations, smoke alarms and kitchens. This is a contribution which has kept the studio at a high, internationally award-winning level.

Today JACOB JENSEN™ is represented in over 30 countries worldwide. The company aims to continue contributing to the aesthetics of everyday life and pleasure by designing products for daily use filled with ideas, radical purity and quiet beauty.
